Sounds a stupid question really but is there a right time to have breakfast? The reason this has cropped up is because there is a certain group of workers (civil servants) that always appear to have breakfast at their desks. Now this could be simply down to the fact that they can sign in to work, start earning flexi-time whilst actually doing nothing more than surfing the internet and eating but I heard another excuse reason for this today. Apparantely some people can’t eat breakfast early and have no choice other than to accumulate working time whilst eating breakfast at their desks, does anybody suffer from this? What negative effects do you suffer from when having breakfast “too early”?
I would have thought that the best time to have breakfast would have been as early as possible, there is no such thing as too early. Putting food in your stomach kick starts the bodies metabolism and you go from night mode into day mode and burn those calories. Everybody knows the importance of having breakfast but the longer you leave it then the less effect it has? After a certain point doesn’t breakfast just become an early lunch? Certainly as far as my diet is concerned I aim to eat breakfast as close to waking up as possible each day and I’m sure it has been a vital part in the weight I’ve lost so far.
