It’s a sad day today for me, 50 years to the day since the
A great inspiration to me at the moment is Sir Alex Ferguson, not only the greatest club manager ever to have graced the English game but somebody who just won’t let go. He has a philosophy that it is inevitable that you will slip up once or twice, the key is not to let it happen twice in a row. If Man Utd lose a game you can be guaranteed that the next game, no matter who the opponent it is shit or bust to win. This is how I’m tackling my diet and exercise. For example yesterday I should have went to the gym but didn’t, instead I was going to go today but because I’ve got so much work on I almost talked myself out of it. I know I’m not allowed to let myself down 2 days in a row because that’s how routines are made and lost, it is the routine of burning more than I put in that is making me lose the weight. So of I went this morning, now I feel great and I’ll get through the work much quicker.
This is a long term plan for me and I know there are going to be times when I slip up, I’m going to do my best though to adopt the attitude of one slip up every now and then is OK, 2 isn’t!
