I think this is going to be a great journey, not so much a journey like the explorers of past but more in the same style as those celebrities that go on Strictly Come Dancing always seem to go on a journey! I’m a simple person, in order to keep motivated I need to feel like I’m achieving something so this blog is going to be my record of my attempt at losing weight and getting fit again (for more info about me you can read this). In order to keep things realistic and to keep me positive I’m going to break this down into much smaller goals, the first of which is to lose at least 1 stone in weight by the 8th of March 2008. I’m going to be checking my weight (only my weight, I’m only measuring one thing for my first goal) each week up until that date so that I can get to see some progress (or not as the case may be).
I suppose at this point I need to know what I’m tackling so it’s time to get some vital statistics up, as of today (Monday 7th January 2008) :-
Body Weight – 13stone 4 pounds
Body Fat Percentage – 33.5%
Body Mass Index – 30 (Clinically Obese)
In order to achieve my first target I need to get my body weight down to 12 stone 4 pounds, I’m not to worry about my fat percentage but unless I also shrink during that time then my BMI will come dawn as well. The only question remaining is how exactly am I going to do it?
