Yesterday was yet another gym day (they seem to be coming around very often) so I was up and out of the house early (for a Sunday anyway). I was that busy worrying about the Sunday bus schedule that I didn’t even think about looking to see if the gym would be open, school boy error! So I arrived at 9:45, just as one of the girls that works there was arriving as well, she looked at me, I looked at her. She told me not to worry because it happens all the time and told me to go in anyway. So there you have it, I’ve only been exercising for a couple of weeks and I’m already overly keen! On a side note the gym looks a totally different place without the lights on and nobody there. By the time I got into my row properly the local bouncers who appear to favour a Sunday morning workout were just starting to appear and the whole thing felt a little more normal from then on, must remember to not show up until 10 next week though!
All this time in the gym has got me thinking about my weight loss, I wonder what would happen if I didn’t enjoy the gym as much? When I first started this routine my wife did as well, I customised my 3-2-1 approach to what I thought would work for her and that involved no gym (she HATES the gym). Instead she’s just been going for a gentle walk during her lunch hour. Tonight is her first weigh-in and my second, will be interesting to see how things turn out.
