Easter is a really tough time of year to be trying to diet, any good eating habits have to be mitigated against with the inevitable chocolate intake. I’m not even a big chocolate fan but for some reason the chocolate in Easter eggs always seems to taste better than normal chocolate!
It was also a tough time in the gym, because of the number of bank holidays the opening times are all over the place. I only really get the chance to go early on my days off and with them not opening till later it was all a bit hit and miss. Fair to say that I wasn’t looking forward to weighing myself on Monday, I was honestly expecting to have perhaps put on a bit of weight for the first time.
Luckily I didn’t, I actually managed to lose another pound. Half way through now and 3 pounds down with 3 to go. I have the sneaking feeling that I’m going to suffer a delayed reaction to the extra eating next week so I’ve really got to hit it hard this week. I suppose that is the key to dieting around Easter, you know that you’re going to take in more calories, the only option is to make sure that you burn more as well. Oh yeah, and don’t be tempted to start drinking calories just because you’re eating chocolate!
