I went through years of misery and pain with my back before I went to see a Chiropractor. My history wasn’t great, I’d had problems due to work issues not to mention a serious car crash when I was 21. Yet he jumped straight past those instead concentrating on my exercise regime, his first target was the crosstrainer.

That seems whacky to me, why pick on the crosstrainer? I’d “done my back in” at least 3 times in my life, 2 seriously enough to warrant months of physio. My car crash had damaged my neck quite badly, basically there are plenty of reasons why I might have a bad back. Even if you do want to have a go at how I exercise surely there are plenty of other things in the gym that are as bad as a crosstrainer?

Just about every fixed weight machine involves using your body in a motion that isn’t natural. Serious fitness freaks hate fixed machines and would much rather just pick up some free weights.

The other thing I can’t understand about why a Chiropractor would pick on the crosstrainer is the number of people who use them. If they really do damage your hip and back then wouldn’t we be going through a massive pandemic of gym people with back problems? It’s not happening as far as I’m aware?

So even though I could see no sense in it I stopped using the crosstrainer at the gym, I did this for 2 years. My back stopped hurting. Then 2 months ago I decided to give it a go again. Despite the usual burn of getting used to a new piece of equipment I felt that I came through unscathed…until I woke up the next morning. Ouch, I could hardly move, all down one side of my back and hip was killing me like the worst sciatica ever. The morale of this story is simple, not all things make sense and it pays to listen to people that you are paying to know more about a subject than you. I’ll not bother with the crosstrainer again.

I know what you’re thinking, obvisouly the answer to this is yes? Perhaps you’re right but just like most things in life it’s not entirely that simple. I setup an experiment to test just how effective a workout you can get from a Concept 2 Rower and I was surprised by the results.

Of all the cardio machines available in the gym it is the rowing machine that I enjoy most. I don’t know whether it has something to do with the fact I was brought up around boats and always enjoyed rowing as a kid? Either way I just find it very relaxing and if there’s one piece of equipment to make the time fly for me it is the rower.

So having put on a few pounds late last year I decided that I’d try and use the rower exclusively to lose that fat. I know it was fat becuase thinking ahead I booked in a full fitness assessment before I started my “regime”. I say regime but it was simple really. At least 4 times a week I would row 5 kilometers at a good pace. I would throw in some weights but it would be at the very low end of things and have no impact on what I was doing on the rower. I consider a good pace to be anywhere between 21 and 22 minutes for 5KM. I was reckoning on improving my fitness as well as losing some weight. I even checked with a gym instructor, I would be fine to operate at the upper end of my heart range because even thought I’d be burning less fat as a percentage, it would be a lower percentage of a higher number of calories and still effective. Or so the story goes. The reason this is important to a rowing machine in particular is that a rower gets your heart rate up quicker and maintains it better than just about anything else in the gym, the only competition is perhaps an inclined treadmill.

Did I Get Thin By Rowing?

Two months later I did another fitness assessment to see how things had gone, shit the bed was I in for a surprise. First of all my weight, I’d lost 4 pounds. This is good. Next my body fat percentage. This had INCREASED by 3%. This is bad. Finally my muscle mass in kilos (now if you have any sort of maths ability I think you can guess what I’m going to say next), my muscle mass had decreased by 2 kilos! Why had this happened? In simple terms I’d burnt up muscle, I believe this happened because I’d set myself a target of rowing a distance each time. I don’t care who you are, setting a distance instills a sense of beating a time and that’s exactly what had happened to me. It becomes a race with yourself. As I rowed more and more I sped up. Whilst I didn’t feel like I was working my body more (because I was getting fitter), obviously I was. Like it or not my workout was not effective. To say I was pissed off was a massive understatement. You don’t work that hard in the gym and expect to walk away fatter than what you were! Either way I looked at it I had a higher percentage body fat and my waist was certainly no slimmer.

The Right Way To Row Yourself Thin

I decided to challenge myself again to a similar experiment. This time rowing for 20 minutes each time instead of a set distance. With no target incentive this allowed me to plod along and the difference has been a marked one. Over the same period I have lost 3 pounds, except this time my body fat precentage has dropped 5% and my muscle mass has increased ever so slightly. In short I’d like to think I’m back on track and have found an effective way of staying slim using a rowing machine at the centre of my routine. I know this could be said of any machine but as I’ve emphasised several times before the rowing machine really is a total body workout and very easy to over work yourself on. Making it into a race only makes this worse so if I could offer one piece of advice it would be this – if you want to use the rowing machine to get slim then please forget about setting a distance goal, forget about the Concept 2 Ranking website and just give yourself a time to row and raw it at your own pace.

I know that this is a common problem! It’s oh so simple to work out those prominent muscles like you biceps, triceps and shoulders but it’s much harder to target your forearms and wrists. You end up looking pumped up from your elbows back and nobody wants’ that right?

I was suffering from just this problem. No matter what combination of machine and free weights I was using my forearms never seemed to get any bigger. Toned yes but bigger no. On catching sight of myself in the mirror I began to notice just how bad this looked so decided to remedy it. After much surfing and asking of experts (both in the gym and on forums) what was recommended to me is what I’m going to recommend to you. Buy yourself a Power Ball!

So What’s A Power Ball And How Does It Give Me A Forearm Workout?

A Power Ball is a hand held gyro that with the right motions spin up to provide awesome amounts of resistance. This increases grip strength, wrist strength and if done correctly gives an amazing forearm workout. Best of all it only takes a few minutes a day and you can do it from the comfort of your desk. You start the Power Ball with a rip cord (similar to starting an old petrol engine) you then hold it and rotate your wrist. Slowly at first. As you start to feel the resistance you then narrow the motion of your wrist until it feels as if you’re hardly moving. At this point your hand, wrist and forearm will be aching as it feels like you are trying to hold the leash of a 20 stone dog! In fact if you’re good enough you might be able to get your Power Ball up to 14,000 revolutions per minute!

I’ve been using my Power Ball now most days since Christmas. In that time everything below my elbow on both sides of my body has gained significant strength. I’ve noticed this especially with my grip when doing pull-ups. My grip is certainly no longer the week point. Perhaps most importantly to those people looking for a forearm workout though is that fact that I’ve also increased the size of my forearms. On the left side a little under half an inch, on the right side a full half inch. It doesn’t sound much but in appearance terms (combined with the extra toning) it makes a big difference.

As a value-for-money piece of fitness equipment I think you’d be hard pushed to beat a Power Ball. It’s so good that I’ve just ordered a second so that I can 2 on the go at once. Yes, it does become addictive.

Get Your Power Ball Now! – (UK – USA)

In a 2006 University of Florida study, six different chemical extracts were made from acai fruit pulp. Out of the those, 4 of the extracts killed 86% of leukemia cells.

Sales of acai products have increased dramatically in the U.S. where it has been touted as a metabolism booster, weight reducer and athletic enhancer. Advertisements use buzzwords such as health, wellness, energy, taste and organ enhancer.

Long before the Portuguese colonized Brazil, the oily purple berry of the açai palm tree was a every day food for the Amazonians. Today, acai juice is a global “super food. However, large demand has increased the price in Belem, the epicenter of the açai trade. The city’s 1.3 million residents consume an estimated 200,000 liters of açai each day, making it more popular than milk.

Researchers say the findings show the need for more research on the berry which is commonly used in juices, beverages, smoothies, frozen treats and dietary supplements. There are a lot of acai juice benefits that will help your health.

In a recent study of varying acai varieties to see antioxidant levels, a white species displayed no antioxidant activity against different oxygen radicals, whereas the purple variety most often used commercially was excellent against peroxyl radicals, good against peroxynitrite and poor against hydroxyl radicals

Try Acai Juice and be on the fast track to the healthy life. Acai juice contains many phytonutrients and antioxidants as well as a significant blend of trace vitamins and minerals. A lot of men have said they have improved digestion and focus from drinking acai juice.

Acai juice is a fountain of youth in other ways as well. It increases libido in men and women so that they will have the sexual appetites of much younger people. If you drink acai juice, your skin will be more supple and youthful-looking. People even report having less trouble with warts when taking it on a regular basis.

Acai juice is made from acai berries. They are native, acai berries, to tropical Central and South America. They grow in the wild in the palms of the Brazilian rainforest. Acai juice is very nutritional and provides a lot of supplements. Living in a world which contains a lot of diseases, acai juice can be a powerful juice that can help with fighting them. Acai juice is packed with a lot of disease-fighting antioxidants. It is said that acai berries, which are used to make acai juice, contain more disease-fighting antioxidants than any other fruit on we can find on Earth. It is definitely a nutritional supplement for anyone, but especially for those that practice a healthy diet.

Açaí is particularly rich in fatty acids and even feels oily to the touch. It contains high levels of the monounsaturated fatty acid oleic acid (56.2% of total fats). It is also rich in palmitic acid (24.1% of total fats, a saturated fat) and the polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid (12.5% of total fats). It is also rich in β-sitosterol (beta-sitosterol), a phytosterol that competes with dietary cholesterol for absorption and so may reduce blood cholesterol levels

The Verve Energy drink is becoming well known as a healthy energy drink. Energy drinks are popularly advertised these days and appear to be in all places. This is not so startling given the fact that energy drinks are supposed to offer anyone the boost of energy that they want for a certain period of time. Energy drinks occur in varying blends and with different ingredients but almost all of them have one ingredient -or rather two ingredients- in common: Caffeine and sugar. Energy drinks occur in several sizes, tastes and flavors and are desirable to just about anyone. It is apparentthat energy drinks are indeed Vigor boosters. However, to be able to ascertain why it is capable of producing the needed amount of energy, it is significant to look at some of the ingredients that are on hand in the average energy drink.

1. Caffeine: we are all very familiar with caffeine and its consequenceson the body. When taken in the accurate quantities and with milk in coffee, it can indeed be an energy booster and increase your energy levels enormously . Caffeine is also promptly found in drinks like Coke, and Pepsi which you will agree can perform as short term energy boosting drinks. While the caffeine available in the average Pepsi bottle and a cup of coffee is still acceptable , the amount of caffeine in the average energy drink is way beyond the normal requirements. Medical experts suggest between 200-300 milligrams of caffeine per day. But energy drinks have way too much caffeine content -about 280 milligrams per bottle- which is what inducesthe sudden burst of spirit.

2. Guarana: This is akin to caffeine in a sense but different in function and in concentration. It is not promptly found in all energy drinks. However , it has enough stimulant properties to increase your energy levels. Guarana is not very popular among us here in the West, though it has its origins in South America.

3. Sugar: I am certain you got some of it at the moment. a lot of energy drinks are loaded with sugar which is healthy when taken modestly . But in excess quantities is accountable for increased weight, large calorie content in the body and excess fat.

4. Gingko Biloba: This herb has become more popular with time and was initially brought into limelight by ayurvedic experts and alternative therapists who were commending it for the alleviation of stressful experience in many emotionally stressed and depressed people . It functions by stimulating the brain to release some hormones that are released into the bloodstream to get rid of the stress causing agents in the body.

5. Ginseng: This herb has become popular in posh times alongside Gingko Biloba. It is familiar for its ability to reduce the stress levels in the body and freeing up an individual’s energy level. Ginseng is also promptly found in most aphrodisiacs and sexual enhancement pills.

6. Antioxidants: The regular healthy energy drink also contains a varying amount of antioxidants which help get rid of the free radicals available in the body as a result of common cellular functions. However , there is still some controversy surrounding the consequences of the antioxidants in energy drinks in contrast to those naturally available in fruits or in a nutritional supplement.

Anyway, these are some of the components of energy drinks and are mostly what causes the spirit boost. One thing must be noted though: energy drinks are not the model solution to reduced energy levels. A fit lifestyle with good nutrition is a solution, and drinking the Verve Energy drink contributes immensely to good health.

Introducing to North America the new way to rid yourself of, weight problems, osteoporosis, diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, arthritis, and acid reflux and many other maladies.

Kangen water has been around for over 40 years in Japan. Japan has one thing in mind, they work on prevention, whereas here in North America we concentrate on treatment.

That is one of the main reasons, we are Number 37 in longevity, and Japan is Number 1 and why our medical costs are spiralling.

Prevention makes much more sense.

Here is a simple example.

Visit any drug store and take a look at the shelves covered with antacid pills. There are so many different remedies.

Do you know this is a 3 billion dollar business. 3 billionollors, maybe this will give you an idea why it remains a 3 billion dollar business.

Why not find a remedy, the Japanese found a treatment, Kangen water is such a remedy.

If it has been around for 40 years and we are receiving testimonials day after day, the Japanese are doing something right.

Here are some of the reasons, we are treating our bodies completely wrong.

One reason, we are now drinking bottled water. Bottled water is acidic, and is one of the most disastrous things ever provided for mankind.

It is not.

It is said, 45, million gallons of oil are used to make these bottles each year, and billions of these bottles are been placed in our landfills, and then, they take a thousand years to disintegrate. What a terrible environment disaster.

Also our children are making a terrible mistake drinking colas and power drinks, it is not right to do that. As a teenager, did you ever recall a friend of yours dying of cancer, yet today it is the highest cause of children’s deaths in North America.

Cancer cannot excel in an alkaline body, however an acidic body is where it most certainly can.

It has to stop right now.

An acid body is the main reason for all illnesses.

I have a video showing what happens to the colon when a body is taken over by the acidic wastes, this video is available to anyone who asks.

Should you know of anyone who has one of the maladies mentioned above, please ask them to listen to the testimonials. We ask you to give them the URL of the quoted site, as we know we could help them. This can even be a best allergy relief as many of the illnesses and disordered are triggered by the wrong water.
