Water filters are superb inclusions in any household as a method for users to drink the cleanliest water possible. Although you may think you are drinking clean water (most people think they are), you’re probably not unless you are using a water filter.

With the recommended volume of daily intake of water at eight glasses minimum, it helps to drink better tasting, cleaner water. The need for better quality of water is signified by the growth of the bottled water industry. After all, billions of dollars of bottled water is sold each and every year.

The water that comes through our taps can be polluted by a number of particles. These include sediments, rust, soil residues, and lead. However, water filters are not only available for kitchen taps, but also showers, refrigerators, countertops, portable, and under sink filters. As well as the varied water filter styles are the number of brands that create them. A few of the reputable names include PUR, GE, Samsung, Aquasana and Brita filter models.

Brita is one of the most reputable names available and is one of the first names that people think of when purchasing water filters. They have a good range of filters and ought to be on your list to consider. Water filter Whirlpool models are also well-known, and not only for creating water filters. Their repute for creating top standard products is evident, so you know you are purchasing a quality water filter if you choose Whirlpool.

Selecting a water filter from among the available names can be hard, but because of the internet the mission is a lot simpler. By evaluating reviews, comparisons and ratings you can find the exact filter you need within your price range. Furthermore it will help identify the best water filter as identified by consumers. Internet retailers will usually be able to out price their offline competitors, so evaluating water filters and then purchasing from an internet retailer is certainly first choice.

Before you buy you need to estimate the volume of water that you will need to filter. As a result you will be able to buy a filter that is most appropriate for your needs and can save you money should you not need to filter as much as you first considered.

Although many people still drink water directly from their taps, a water filter is a worthwhile investment for the health and safety of your family. For the low cost of many water filters these days there really is no reason to not own one.

Running, swimming and cycling all come under the ‘endurance’ banner: performing strenuous exercise for long periods of time. These activities require carbs for energy and plenty of fluid to avoid dehydration. isotonic sports drink can help power exceptional performances by providing hydration – crucial when sweating over a long period of time, and an additional source of energy right when you need it.

For an exceptional performance, water alone is not enough. Your body is 60% water so, for results to be proud of, your body fluid must be kept at its optimum level. When you exercise, you sweat which increases the risk of suffering from the negative effects of dehydration such as headaches, fatigue and cramp. Today, isotonic drinks are the preferred choice for most fitness enthusiasts and athletes wanting exceptional hydration and energy. Isotonic drinks have a similar carbohydrate and electrolyte concentration to your body meaning they are absorbed as fast, if not faster, than water.

An osmolality level of 270-330 Mosm/kg in an isotonic drink helps to maintain the required concentration of electrolytes in your blood. Water alone has a very low osmolality level and it typically does not contain electrolytes. Although it is great for hydration, water also stimulates urine output which reduces its effectiveness during your exercise or any sporting performance.

It’s Wednesday now and I’m still suffering, who’d have thought the damage from one night of drinking could be so bad? Well I did for a start, that’s why I was so unsure as to whether or not to drink on Saturday night. My wife and daughter are away in Tenerife and I was invited to a friends birthday bash at his house so I took the opportunity to have a few beers and unwind. A few beers developed into a few more and to be honest it was an excellent night, most fun I’ve had in ages. The hand stand competition in particular will probably go down in history. My past glories of running around on my hand didn’t translate so well to being about 16 pounds heavier and incredibly drunk. Luckily my head cushioned my fall.

Anyway, somewhere around beer number 15 I must have got some guilty feelings about the old fitness regime so decided in my beer fuelled wisdom that it would be a great idea to run home instead of getting a taxi. It was only 4 miles, it was only about minus 2 out, I was only wearing a short sleeved shirt. The end result was what I thought was a cold, it turns out that I’ve given myself a chest infection. I did try going to the gym on Sunday but it almost killed me, in the few days since I’ve done nothing. I did take a walk to the shop this morning but even that causes a wheezing fit that a 90 year old asthma sufferer would be proud off. With the lack of activity I have to be really careful what I eat now, I’ve resorted to cereal twice a day and a proper meal in the evening just to limit the damage during this bad spell. With any luck I won’t put on too much weight.

Being serious for a minute this really annoys me, 1 night out, my first since the beginning of December and everything falls to pieces. I am only 28. Obviously I’ve got the illness problem to come to terms with but it’s not only that. The truth is I feel shitty for days after being drunk, sometimes it can last a couple of weeks and it just doesn’t get any better. It wouldn’t matter if I drank every night or once every 5 years the alcohol seems to be a having a cumulative effect on me, wearing me down. This isn’t one of those morning after “I’m never going to drink again” things, it’s neither the morning after nor am I convinced for 1 minute that I could just give up beer like that. I’m just pissed because I don’t know what the answer is.

Last night the wife went to a Virgin Vie party (I think that’s what they’re called). From what I can gather the whole point is to buy sparkly things whilst getting as shit faced as possible. Seeing as how she’s had to rescue me many a time from a late night I decided that I’d be the good husband and stay up waiting for the inevitable phone call. Cue twenty past twelve and the phone goes, not to want picking up but to say that she hasn’t finished yet and I can go to bed if I want. My wife has really had to put up with me in some terrible states so figuring she wouldn’t last too much longer (nothing beats a pissed phone call) I though I’d hang on. Finally at about quarter to 2 in the morning she decided enough was enough.

This is all fair enough, a late night shouldn’t kill my routine, and it didn’t. In fact I was good enough to be up early this morning and be in the gym well before 10. The problem was that I was really lacking in energy. It’s only just gone midday now and I think I’m ready for bed again. All I can say is I’m glad I don’t have to be out drinking to the early hours every week, I think it would be impossible to keep fit with such a lack of sleep, never mind the drink.

It’s been a rubbish day today, this is the first day that I’ve supposed to go to the gym that I’ve missed and I feel guilty about it. The truth is I’m not really up to it at the moment. I had a few things on my mind last night (was really stressing about a couple of work problems) so I ended up not drinking the glasses of water I’ve been used to. Instead I was making do with cups of tea in between doing bits of work. The end result of this has been that I woke this morning with a bad stomach and because of that a headache. I figured it would be best to avoid the gym today because it can sometimes make you worse to push it too far when you’re not feeling 100%.

The only consolation is that because I was feeling so rough I’ve been well on top of my water drinking today and have just started to come around a bit. Seeing as how I didn’t go to the gym I’ll skip the treat I was planning on having for dinner and will have something fairly healthy instead. Anyway, tomorrow is another day so it will be back in the gym and back on target.
