My diet went well yesterday, I managed to stick to my plans and only ate cereal for breakfast, a healthy wrap for lunch and not so healthy pizza for tea. Even with my pizza and the 2 cups of tea I drank (including sugar) I worked out that my total calorie intake for the day was around 1400 calories. Even better was the fact that I didn’t feel hungry at all thanks mainly to the fact that I was drinking plenty of water as the day went on.
I did make one major mistake yesterday and that was watching a program that we’d had on the Sky+ planner since before Christmas. It’s amazing how much the adverts change from before Christmas to after Christmas. It was just one long run of chocolate, crisps, cakes, roast turkey and beer adverts and I was getting quite annoyed by the end of it. Luckily the wife is also on a health kick so we agreed to just turn it off. I can quite happily go without beer, chocolate or any other luxuries as long as they’re not waived in my face. All in all though it was a good day and thanks to the exercise I slept like a baby. In fact I was feeling so good after the gym yesterday that I’m going to go again today. I have committed to 3 sessions a week but if I enjoy it and don’t go overboard then what’s the harm?
